Most seem to be in the 30-40 dollar range. As of this writing, I found a few in the ten dollar range and they appear to be in excellent condition. If you don't want or need Touch ID in a keyboard and don't mind a wired keyboard, 'vintage' Apple keyboards can be found in eBay for very low prices. If I had to speculate, perhaps the inclusion of a fingerprint reader added enough cost to result in budget cuts in other areas. At almost 200 dollars after tax, much more.
